Oh nothing much... we were at home..... since their fires nearby.... the air quality was sooo bad we couldn't go out.... since yesterday afternoon it cleared up..... in the evening my husband and son went to the swimming pool.... thats all....

I haven't been watching the news, how close to containing the fire are they? It is actually dumping ash here on us and affecting air quality up in San Luis Obispo.

I am just hoping we don't get any fires south of us. Can't go get the girls from AZ if they happen between us and LA.

Here in Sacramento its better from yesterday. We are able to see the sun properly now.... but the air quality in Bakersfield and Redding is still bad... They say that "Air pollution readings in Northern California are two to 10 times the federal standard for clean air"

i read in the news that President Bush issued emergency declaration for California. Also ordered federal agencies to assist in firefighting efforts around Monterey, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Shasta, and other areas nearby.

Sounds like my uncle is trouble. He lives with his wife and her mother in Santa Clara.
All is safe here so far. Last year with the Zaka fire we were getting all the ash and smoke too.
